Chemical Gas Degasser Systems

Chemical Gas Degasser Systems

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) gases present in process water cause severe corrosion, leading to erosion and perforation in system components.

To remove these gases from the system, degasser systems are utilized. Degasser systems consist of two main sections — a tank and a tower.

Raw water enters the system through a distribution diffuser located at the top of the degasser tower.

As the water flows downward through rushing rings (packing media) inside the tower, air supplied by the degasser fan flows upward, allowing intimate contact between air and water.

This counterflow process enables the air to absorb and strip out dissolved gases from the water. The treated water is then collected and stored in the bottom tank section of the degasser.

All degasser systems are manufactured from PP-H and HDPE thermoplastic materials, customized according to the required dimensions and specifications.
